Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

FrontEnd Workflows ("we", "us", "our") operates the website https://frontendworkflows.site (the "Site"), a publication about frontend development. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at sarfraz@frontendworkflows.site or through our Contact page.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly

  • Comments. When you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and website you enter, the comment text, your IP address and browser user agent string (used for spam detection).
  • Contact form. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject and message so we can respond to your enquiry.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe to updates, we collect your email address to send them. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type). Google Analytics uses cookies; you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. See the Cookies section below and our Cookie Policy.
  • Gravatar. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to display your profile picture next to an approved comment. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Cookies

We use cookies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, analyse traffic and — with your consent — serve personalised advertising. You can manage your choices at any time through the consent banner and our Cookie Policy.

  • Strictly necessary cookies keep the Site working (security, load balancing, remembering your consent choices).
  • Functional cookies remember conveniences such as your comment-form details or dark-mode preference.
  • Analytics cookies help us measure visits and traffic sources.
  • Advertising cookies are used, only with your consent, to show relevant ads — see the Advertising cookies section below.

Advertising cookies

We use Google AdSense and other advertising partners to display ads on the Site. Google and third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices/.
  • Advertising cookies are only set after you give consent through our consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time via the banner or our Cookie Policy.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this Site may include embedded content (for example videos, images or social media posts). Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other website directly: those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the Site: our hosting provider, spam-detection services that screen comments, Google Analytics, our advertising partners (only with your consent), and Gravatar as described above. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognise and approve follow-up comments automatically. Contact-form messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form for up to 26 months. Where you have an account, profile information is kept until you delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email sarfraz@frontendworkflows.site. We will respond within a reasonable time. This does not include data we must keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Data security and children

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. The Site is a general-audience publication and is not directed at children under 13; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Affiliate links

Some links on the Site are affiliate links. If you click them and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
